You have a lot of choices to make for your next home project. Deciding who you will trust to help you get the job done right may be the most crucial.
You must be sure the team you welcome into your home is not only qualified and experienced, but insured.
You want someone who is forthcoming about the possible obstacles of your project, who offers creative solutions if problems arise.
You need someone who cares about your budget as you do, but understands you don’t want to give up quality in the process.
You want to know real people are satisfied with the work of the company you choose, would recommend them to others, and use them again!
First and foremost, Dan Lynch Construction stands for honesty, integrity, and character.
It is what this family-owned business was founded on and why they have built so many lasting relationships with their clients since the company’s founding in 2005. Because of this, you can expect Dan, Nikki, and their entire team to provide a positive, high-quality service experience at a sensible price.
Dan is not in this business to get rich—woodworking and construction projects, from the ground up, are his passion.
He’s simply pursuing a dream of owning his business, treating customers fairly, and creating quality home improvement projects that he’s proud of—as you will be, too!
Owner, husband, father…your lifetime carpenter
Dan has been around construction his whole life—it’s what he knows and is passionate about.
He grew up in Cedar Rapids helping his father roof houses for Lynch Brothers Roofing, their family business. It was here that Dan developed his strong work ethic and dedication to getting the job done right.
At age 18, Dan made modular homes and was employed by local contractors where he learned to build houses from the ground up. Once expertly skilled, Dan went to work for Novak Construction, where he worked on high-end remodeling and home additions.
Dan started doing small independent projects for homeowners in 1999. Six years later, Dan decided to pursue his lifelong dream of running his own business. He left Novak Construction on great terms with his employer and built his business from the ground up—without a loan from the bank. In 2014, Dan also acquired Lynch Brothers Roofing after his father retired as owner.
Dan lost the love of his life to breast cancer in April 2017. He continues to be a loving and hands-on father of three. He wants to set a positive example for his kids, showing them to be truthful and to be themselves, regardless of what others are doing.
Nikki ran the business side of Dan Lynch Construction and Lynch Brothers Roofing.
She was responsible for the accounting, scheduling, and other office duties as well as raising their three “Little Lynchs.”
Like Dan, Nikki grew up in Cedar Rapids.
She graduated with Honors from Simpson College with a B.S. degrees in sociology and criminal justice. These areas of study coincided with Nikki’s passion for helping others and her dedication to quality customer service.
Nikki always said that Dan actually saved her life. After college, she was all set to teach English to kids in Thailand. She had a departure date in May, but there was a delay. This delay allowed Nikki to attend a high school friend’s wedding where Dan was a groomsman. Since May of 2004, they hadn’t spent a day apart. Later that year, a tsunami hit Thailand. It’s quite possible that Dan did in fact save her life!
Nikki found a position as a volunteer coordinator, organizing volunteers to rehabilitate old houses for lower income families, so they could own their own homes.
Like Dan, Nikki wanted their children to learn the value of strong character, morality, and having a positive impact on others.
